Ghana is located in West Africa and suffers from poverty, neediness and thirst. When there is no well nearby, water is drunk from dirty rivers and ponds and transported to homes as utility water. The responsibility for fetching water is given to the women, who walk several kilometers a day to reach it. Drilling a well costing €1190 would therefore mean solving one of the biggest and most existential problems for many people in Ghana.
